West Mall Lightning Minor Hockey Association is pleased once again, to make available two $500 post-secondary academic scholarships to each of the West Mall House League and the GTHL divisions for a total of four scholarships for the 2022-2023 academic year.  Funds will be available to assist each student recipient with tuition costs, books or room and board at any accredited Canadian or US College or University.   You can apply for a scholarship whether you are entering your first or subsequent year of study.

Interested applicants should submit a letter with the following information by mail or email to:

Required Information to be included:

• A cover letter that includes a short biography and why you believe you deserve this scholarship
• The College or University program/major/course you will be pursuing.
• A copy of your grade 11 & 12 high school academic transcripts (report cards) or the most recent college/university year completed
• Copy of  Letter of Acceptance from the College or University you will be attending
• The years and teams you played for at West Mall
• Other awards or accomplishments
• 2 personal character references (one from a West Mall coaching staff or West Mall Executive Member, if possible)

 
Applications for the scholarship will need to be received by the President by April 15th, 2022 and a final decision will be made by April 30, 2022.
